Target: Chemist Warehouse / CW Group Holdings Limited Current listed group: Sigma Healthcare Limited Research cutoff: 23 October 2026 Evidence period: Historical corporate development through October 2026

Supply Chain & Sourcing Relationships

Corporate distribution and procurement structure

In November 2024, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) described Chemist Warehouse as a pharmacy franchisor, wholesaler and distributor supplying its retail network, including Chemist Warehouse, MyChemist, Ultra Beauty, My Beauty Spot and Optometrist Warehouse.1

The ACCC identified Chemist Warehouse’s private-label brands as including Wagner, Bambi Mini, Barely, Bondi Protein Co and Goat, and reported that Chemist Warehouse operated six distribution centres for front-of-store and over-the-counter products.2

Following the February 2025 merger with Sigma Healthcare, the combined group operates pharmaceutical wholesale, distribution and pharmacy franchising activities, including the Amcal, Discount Drug Stores, Guardian and PharmaSave brands.3

The group’s 2025 annual reporting describes wholesale operations, own-label and exclusive products, and logistics as separate business activities.4

Direct Israeli agricultural suppliers

No public evidence identified of a direct Chemist Warehouse procurement relationship with Mehadrin, Hadiklaim, Galilee Export, Agrexco successors or other named Israeli agricultural exporters in the reviewed company disclosures and regulator materials.1, 3, 4

Israeli pharmaceutical and cosmetics suppliers

The ACCC’s 2024 review identifies Chemist Warehouse’s private-label brands and distribution activities but does not establish an Israeli manufacturer, importer or supplier for those ranges; no public evidence identified of a specific direct Israeli supplier contract.2, 5

Importer-of-record structure

The 2024 ACCC merger materials document the Australian wholesale and distribution businesses but do not identify a dedicated Israeli-origin importer of record within the Chemist Warehouse group; no public evidence identified.1, 6

Seasonal sourcing

No public evidence identified of recurring December–April procurement of Israeli dates, citrus, avocados, herbs, potatoes or comparable produce through Chemist Warehouse’s disclosed distribution operations.3, 4

Indirect procurement and third-party distributors

The group’s Australian pharmacy wholesale operations necessarily involve supplier relationships, but the reviewed public materials do not identify a specific Israeli-origin product reaching Chemist Warehouse through a named intermediary; no public evidence identified.1, 5

Cannatrek commercial relationship

In February 2021, Cannabiz reported an exclusive commercial agreement under which Australian medicinal-cannabis company Cannatrek would work with Chemist Warehouse on product development and distribution, with Chemist Warehouse receiving an equity interest in Cannatrek. The report did not identify the products as Israeli-manufactured or Cannatrek as an Israeli subsidiary.7

Israeli distribution partnership proposal

In August 2022, Ynet reported that Good Pharm was considering a potential arrangement connected with Chemist Warehouse’s proposed Israeli market entry, but described the discussions as preliminary; no executed franchise or distribution contract was established.8

Teva Pharmaceuticals Australia’s 2022 Modern Slavery Statement identifies Teva Pharma Australia Pty Ltd as a wholly owned subsidiary of Teva Pharmaceuticals Australia Pty Ltd, whose ultimate holding company is Israel-incorporated Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. The statement explains that Teva Pharma Australia imports and markets pharmaceutical products in Australia and distributes mainly through pharmaceutical wholesalers, which subsequently supply pharmacies, grocery chains and hospitals. This establishes a documented Australian pharmaceutical supply channel involving an Israeli-headquartered corporate group, although it does not identify a direct supply contract between Teva and Chemist Warehouse.9

Teva Pharma Australia’s publicly accessible product catalogue, updated 22 April 2026, identifies Rivaroxaban-Teva in 2.5mg, 10mg, 15mg and 20mg strengths and lists Australian Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme product codes, including 2268J and 13462M. The Australian Government’s October 2025 Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme pricing documentation independently identifies Teva Pharma Australia Pty Ltd as the responsible company for Rivaroxaban-Teva 20mg tablets in packs of 28. These records corroborate the product’s Australian commercial distribution status. The Chemist Warehouse product listing identified for October 2026 is consistent with a retail relationship involving Teva-branded medicines, but its live contents could not be independently verified from the accessible sources. The available records do not establish whether Chemist Warehouse purchases the medicine directly from Teva or through an intermediary wholesaler.10, 11, 9

Product Origin, Labeling & Regulatory Compliance

Israel-related import regulation

On 15 August 2022, Globes reported that proposed Israeli reforms affecting imports of cosmetics and perfumes could facilitate Chemist Warehouse’s entry into the Israeli retail market and the introduction of its own products.12

In August 2023, Jack Gance told Ynet that Israeli regulatory requirements for cosmetics and personal-care products were obstructing the planned entry, including restrictions affecting the importation of products already sold in other countries.13

The reported regulatory discussions concerned potential imports into Israel and do not establish imports of Israeli-origin merchandise into Australia or any other Chemist Warehouse market.12, 13

Settlement-origin products

No public evidence identified in the reviewed company, regulator and contemporary Israeli reporting establishing that Chemist Warehouse sold goods produced in West Bank settlements, East Jerusalem or the Golan Heights.1, 4, 12, 13

Origin-label enforcement

No public evidence identified of a Chemist Warehouse-specific regulatory enforcement action concerning the labelling of Israeli goods or products originating in occupied territories in the reviewed ACCC materials and public company reporting.5, 6

Corporate sourcing or labelling policy

No public evidence identified of a publicly stated Chemist Warehouse policy specifically governing procurement from Israeli settlements or labelling of goods originating in occupied Palestinian territory in the reviewed corporate reporting.3, 4

Private-label provenance

ABC News reported in December 2023 that Chemist Warehouse held interests in products and brands including Bondi Protein Co, Goat Soap, Barely Intimate Skincare, Bambi Mini and Wagner; that reporting does not establish an Israeli place of manufacture for those brands.14

Singapore’s National Drug Formulary, updated 16 September 2026, identifies Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, Israel, as the manufacturer and manufacturing country for RIVAROXABAN-TEVA FC TABLET 20MG, Singapore registration SIN17448P. This provides product-specific evidence of Israeli manufacture for a Rivaroxaban-Teva 20mg product registered in Singapore. However, the Singapore registration does not establish that Australian-market tablets bearing the Rivaroxaban-Teva name originate from the same manufacturing facility or country. Teva’s Australian catalogue identifies the medicine and its available strengths without specifying the manufacturing site or country of origin.15, 10

October 2026 - no public evidence identified establishing the actual manufacturing country, production facility, batch provenance, importer of record or shipment route for the Rivaroxaban-Teva 20mg tablets offered through Chemist Warehouse Australia. The reviewed Australian product catalogue, Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme documentation, Teva corporate supply-chain statement and Singapore product registration establish the brand, Australian commercial sponsor and an Israeli manufacturing connection in a separate market, but do not establish the origin of Australian retail inventory.10, 11, 9, 15

Investment, Capital & Financial Exposure

Proposed foreign direct investment in Israel

On 15 August 2022, Globes reported that Chemist Warehouse was examining entry into Israel following discussions between founder and chair Jack Gance and Dr Ron Malka, then director-general of Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry.12

In August 2022, Ynetnews reported that Gance expected an initial test involving one or two stores if the proposed expansion proceeded and that the company had previously examined Israeli entry in 2019 before suspending plans around the COVID-19 pandemic.16

The Jerusalem Post independently reported on 18 August 2022 that Chemist Warehouse was in advanced discussions concerning the Israeli market, with Israeli government officials encouraging entry following proposed import reforms.17

Preparatory local corporate structure

On 3 August 2023, Ynet reported that Chemist Warehouse had established a company managed by Uri Aldubi to advance its Israeli market-entry plans and discussions with regulatory authorities; the report did not establish the entity’s registered name, ultimate shareholding, capital expenditure or commencement of retail operations.13

The same August 2023 reporting described a proposed model involving partnerships with existing pharmacy operators, rather than the conventional franchise structure, and identified regulatory restrictions as an obstacle to implementation.13

Investment scale proposed in 2023

Ynet reported in August 2023 that Chemist Warehouse had discussed an ambition of approximately 30 Israeli outlets and NIS 1.5 billion in annual revenue within five years; these figures were prospective business targets rather than documented stores, capital invested or revenue received.13

Current implementation status

Sigma’s May 2026 operating update identified its international Chemist Warehouse retail activities in New Zealand, Ireland, Dubai and China, together with a proposed UK entry, without identifying an operating Israeli retail network.18

Sigma’s August 2026 results announced consolidated revenue of A$10.8 billion for FY26 and reported growth in its international business, but did not separately report Israeli investment or revenue.19

Israeli acquisitions and controlled operating companies

No public evidence identified of Chemist Warehouse or Sigma acquiring a controlling interest in a named Israeli pharmaceutical manufacturer, biotechnology company, consumer brand, technology company, logistics operator or other Israeli operating business in the reviewed disclosures.3, 4, 19

Accordingly, no verified Israeli acquired subsidiary can be enumerated with a documented acquisition price, ownership percentage, Israeli manufacturing location, employee count, revenue or defence/settlement relationship from the available evidence.3, 4, 19

Group-level merger and capital ownership

In November 2024, the ACCC reported that the merger agreement would result in former Chemist Warehouse shareholders holding approximately 85.75% of the listed combined group and former Sigma shareholders holding approximately 14.25%, in addition to A$700 million cash consideration.1

ABC News reported the transaction as an approximately A$8.8 billion combination, creating a major integrated pharmacy retailing and wholesale business.20

Sigma’s 2025 annual report documents the completed merger effective 12 February 2025, following the earlier announced ownership and transaction arrangements.4

Founders’ other investments

Historical reporting reproduced by the Australian Association of Convenience Stores described Jack Gance and Mario Verrocchi’s interests in Australian pharmacy businesses, property arrangements and Home Consortium; these reported investments do not establish a direct Israeli holding.21

Israeli sovereign debt and portfolio holdings

No public evidence identified in the reviewed merger, governance, business and financial disclosures of direct group holdings in Israeli government bonds, Israel Bonds, Israeli-domiciled investment funds or Israeli defence companies.4, 19, 22

Controlling principals’ separate Israeli financial exposure

The reviewed public disclosures and historical investment reporting do not identify a substantiated Israeli company investment by Jack Gance, Sam Gance, Mario Verrocchi or their controlled vehicles; no public evidence identified.4, 21, 22

Financing Israeli state or settlement operations

No public evidence identified of Chemist Warehouse or Sigma underwriting Israeli sovereign debt, arranging Israeli war bonds, providing direct lending to Israeli defence companies, underwriting military insurance or managing investment portfolios on behalf of Israeli public-sector entities.3, 4, 22

On 31 July 2025, GeekWire reported that Chemist Warehouse participated as an investor in Augmodo’s US$37.5 million financing round, led by TQ Ventures. Augmodo founder and chief executive Ross Finman described Chemist Warehouse as the company’s first major customer, explaining that a successful retail-technology pilot prompted Chemist Warehouse to request a full commercial rollout. The report explicitly confirms Chemist Warehouse’s participation in the financing, establishing an equity-investment relationship alongside the commercial partnership. It does not disclose Chemist Warehouse’s individual investment amount, ownership percentage, security terms or resulting voting rights.23

On 13 July 2026, SiliconANGLE reported that Augmodo raised an additional US$21 million at a US$350 million valuation, again led by TQ Ventures. Chemist Warehouse was explicitly identified among the participating investors, alongside Lerer Hippeau, Jefferson River Capital, Arena Holdings, New Fare, Interlace and Webb Investment Network. Augmodo’s founder independently confirmed the US$21 million financing and US$350 million valuation in the company’s announcement. The reporting establishes Chemist Warehouse’s participation in both the July 2025 and July 2026 financing rounds, but neither publication allocates a specific investment amount or ownership percentage to Chemist Warehouse. The US$37.5 million and US$21 million figures represent total financing-round proceeds, not Chemist Warehouse’s individual contributions.24, 25, 23

October 2026 - no public evidence identified quantifying Chemist Warehouse’s cumulative capital invested in Augmodo, percentage equity ownership, voting rights, board representation, realised investment returns or accounting carrying value. GeekWire’s 2025 reporting, SiliconANGLE’s 2026 investor list, Augmodo’s founder announcement and publicly accessible venture-financing summaries disclose aggregate financing amounts and participating investors without identifying Chemist Warehouse’s individual allocation. The reported US$350 million valuation cannot independently establish Chemist Warehouse’s ownership interest.23, 24, 25, 26

An independently published investment analysis dated 13 May 2024 identified Israel as a market previously discussed by Jack Gance but characterised regulatory restrictions on parallel imports as an obstacle to entry. The analysis considered an Israeli launch unlikely without legislative changes favourable to Chemist Warehouse. This is evidence of contemporaneous external assessment of the project’s commercial prospects approximately nine months after the reported creation of the Aldubi-managed vehicle. It does not establish that the vehicle had been dissolved, that its regulatory representation had ended or that Chemist Warehouse had formally abandoned the proposed investment.27

Operational Presence & Market Activity

Israeli market-entry discussions: August 2022

In August 2022, Israeli media reported discussions between Chemist Warehouse and the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry concerning the establishment of retail operations in Israel.12, 16, 17

Ynetnews reported that Jack Gance envisaged an initial opening of one or two stores, potentially followed by a larger network if the business model proved successful.16

Further Israeli negotiations: August 2023

On 3 August 2023, Ynet reported that Gance remained interested in establishing Chemist Warehouse operations in Israel but argued that regulatory restrictions were obstructing the proposal.13

The report described discussions involving Israeli economy and health regulators, together with efforts to establish a viable structure for local pharmacy participation.13

Physical footprint in Israel

No public evidence identified of an operational Chemist Warehouse-branded retail store, warehouse, office, fulfilment centre or research laboratory in Israel as of the research cutoff; the company’s 2026 international-market disclosures identify other operating territories.18, 19

International operating footprint

Sigma’s corporate description identifies interests in retail pharmacies in New Zealand, Ireland and Dubai, together with service arrangements involving Chinese retail operations.3

In May 2026, Sigma disclosed plans for a joint venture with UK pharmacy group GreenLight Healthcare, under which Sigma would acquire 75% interests in selected stores and license the Chemist Warehouse brand.28

ABC News reported on 21 October 2026 that Sigma expected two London stores before Christmas 2026 and was progressively withdrawing from physical retail operations in China.29

Market significance in Australia

The ACCC’s June 2024 Statement of Issues examined potential competition concerns arising from the combination of Sigma’s pharmaceutical wholesale infrastructure and Chemist Warehouse’s pharmacy franchising operations.6

Following its investigation, the ACCC announced in November 2024 that it would not oppose the merger, subject to court-enforceable undertakings concerning wholesale arrangements, customer information and pharmaceutical supply obligations.1, 5

ABC News reported in November 2024 that the combined business was expected to encompass approximately 1,000 retail locations and 16 distribution centres across Australia and New Zealand.20

Regional pharmacists interviewed by ABC News in November 2024 expressed concerns about the combined group’s commercial scale and potential effects on independent pharmacy competition.30

Employment and Israeli tax status

No public evidence identified of a verified Chemist Warehouse Israeli workforce total, employer registration, tax payment, Israeli corporate tax residency or Preferred Technology Enterprise designation in the reviewed regulatory and company disclosures.3, 4, 13

Reservist salary subsidies and military employment arrangements

No public evidence identified of a Chemist Warehouse Israeli reservist salary subsidy or military-leave programme attributable to an operating Israeli subsidiary.3, 4, 18

Israeli market positioning

The 2022–2023 Israeli reporting described Israel as a potential retail expansion market in which Chemist Warehouse intended to compete on price; the evidence records plans and negotiations rather than completed commercial market entry.12, 13, 16

The group’s August 2026 financial results instead highlighted international business expansion and earnings growth without identifying Israel as a separately reported operating market.19

Settlement operations and distribution

No public evidence identified of Chemist Warehouse stores, branded franchisees, distribution contracts, deliveries or property investments in West Bank settlements, East Jerusalem or the Golan Heights in the reviewed corporate disclosures and Israeli market-entry reporting.3, 12, 13, 19

Post-July 2024 and post-November 2024 continuity

The dated Israeli market-entry reporting establishes discussions during 2022–2023, while the available 2025–2026 group operating reports do not establish that the proposed Israeli retail activity continued after 19 July 2024 or November 2024.13, 18, 19

Ynet’s August 2023 account provides more specific evidence of preparatory activity than the proposed retail expansion itself. It states that the company managed by Uri Aldubi was advancing Chemist Warehouse’s interests before Israeli authorities. The same report documents that Jack Gance had approached Israel’s finance, economy and health ministers approximately one week earlier, requesting changes to import regulation. Gance also described discussions with the Ministry of Economy and Competition Authority and meetings with Israeli health funds. These establish reported regulatory engagement and preliminary commercial discussions. The reporting does not identify the legal signatory to the ministerial correspondence or establish that the Aldubi-managed company itself contracted with the ministries or health funds.13

October 2026 - no public evidence identified: searches for Chemist Warehouse and Uri Aldubi in Hebrew and English, alongside available contemporary reporting and public corporate disclosures, did not establish employees hired by the unnamed vehicle, employment contracts, leased or purchased premises, executed pharmacy partnerships, binding supply or distribution agreements, regulatory licences, paid-up capital, bank financing, expenditure commitments or actual Israeli retail sales. The reported discussions with private pharmacy owners and health funds cannot establish executed agreements or financial obligations without additional documentary evidence.13, 16, 12

19 July 2024–23 October 2026 - no public evidence identified establishing the continuing activities, formal cessation or outstanding obligations of the specific company reported in August 2023. Searches covering the period after July 2024 and the November 2024 Sigma merger approval found no attributable dissolution notice, deregistration record, liquidation proceeding, updated beneficial ownership disclosure, contract termination, creditor claim or continuing regulatory mandate. Chemist Warehouse’s subsequently published international operating descriptions identify Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the United Arab Emirates, with UK expansion preparations, but do not identify Israel as an operating market. These disclosures provide evidence concerning the group’s reported operational footprint; they do not independently establish the legal status of the unnamed vehicle. Its continuity, cessation and residual liabilities remain unresolved.13, 27, 31

Corporate Structure & Foundational Ties

Australian origins

Sigma Healthcare’s corporate history states that Jack and Sam Gance began operating pharmacies in Melbourne in 1972, with Mario Verrocchi subsequently joining the business.32

The same history records the establishment of My Chemist in 1997 and the first Chemist Warehouse store in 2000, establishing the business’s Australian origin.32

Legal ownership

The ACCC identified CW Group Holdings Limited as the Australian corporate entity representing Chemist Warehouse in the 2024 merger proceedings.1, 6

Following the February 2025 merger, Sigma Healthcare Limited became the listed holding company for the combined pharmaceutical wholesale and retail franchising group.3, 4

Headquarters and legal domicile

Sigma describes itself as an Australian pharmaceutical wholesaler and retail pharmacy franchisor, with corporate operations centred in Australia.3

The company’s published contact information places its corporate contact operations in Victoria, Australia; no dual headquarters in Israel is established in that material.33

Board and senior leadership

Corporate governance information released in May 2025 documented the board changes associated with the merger and the appointment of Chemist Warehouse-related directors.22

ABC News identified Vikesh Ramsunder as Sigma’s chief executive during the November 2024 merger approval process.20

Sigma’s 2026 international expansion announcement identified Ramsunder as managing director and chief executive responsible for communicating the group’s international growth plans.28

Principal shareholders

The pre-merger regulatory disclosures established that Chemist Warehouse’s original shareholders would receive the controlling collective interest in the combined listed company, although the percentage did not establish Israeli beneficial ownership.1

Israeli-Nexus Floor: founding, headquarters, tax and ownership

The documented Australian founding history and corporate domicile do not establish that Chemist Warehouse was founded in Israel or maintained its principal place of management there.3, 32, 33

No public evidence identified of Israeli corporate tax residency, Israeli Preferred Technology Enterprise status or Israeli state ownership of the group in the reviewed disclosures.3, 4, 22

No public evidence identified establishing beneficial control of the listed group by an Israeli-domiciled company or an Israeli state investment vehicle.1, 4, 22

Israeli state engagement

The 2022 Israeli reporting establishes that Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry officials encouraged Chemist Warehouse’s proposed market entry and discussed regulatory arrangements with Jack Gance.12, 17

The public reporting establishes government engagement concerning prospective investment, without documenting an executed state contract, procurement award or ownership interest.12, 13, 17

Israeli defence, settlement or critical-infrastructure designation

No public evidence identified that Chemist Warehouse was designated an Israeli critical-infrastructure provider or held an Israeli defence procurement contract in the reviewed company and market-entry records.3, 12, 13

Structural governance ties to Israel

No public evidence identified of Israeli government golden shares, mandatory Israeli board appointments, Israeli-state veto rights or charter provisions directing the group’s business toward Israeli state objectives in the reviewed corporate governance materials.22

The 3 August 2023 Ynet article describes an Australian-established company managed by Uri Aldubi (אורי אלדובי) to advance Chemist Warehouse’s proposed Israeli entry. The Hebrew wording, “הקימו האוסטרלים חברה המנוהלת על ידי אורי אלדובי”, confirms the reported establishment of a company but provides neither its registered legal name nor its incorporation jurisdiction. The article associates the company operationally with Chemist Warehouse’s Australian promoters, without identifying shareholders, directors, registration numbers or the legal relationship to Jack Gance, CW Group Holdings Limited or other controlling principals. Israeli incorporation and Australian beneficial ownership therefore remain unverified.13

October 2026 - no public evidence identified: searches combining Chemist Warehouse, its Hebrew transliterations, Uri Aldubi, Israeli company registration terminology and Australian corporate ownership terminology produced no independently attributable incorporation certificate, company number, shareholder register, subsidiary disclosure or agency agreement identifying the reported vehicle. Public records independently establish Uri Aldubi’s involvement in other Israeli businesses, including his directorship of Israel Opportunity and management role at Value Advanced Investments, but provide no documented corporate connection between those businesses and Chemist Warehouse. Those separately identifiable entities cannot defensibly be treated as the unnamed vehicle.13, 34, 35, 36

Profit Repatriation & Economic Contribution

Group financial scale

On 26 August 2026, Sigma reported FY26 revenue of A$10.8 billion, normalised EBIT of A$1.09 billion and normalised net profit after tax of A$732.3 million.19

The same announcement reported international segment EBIT of A$55.8 million, representing growth of 91.3% against the relevant comparative period.19

An independent financial-market summary published in August 2026 reported continued network expansion in New Zealand, Ireland and the United Arab Emirates, alongside a planned transition to online-only operations in China.37

Israeli revenue

No public evidence identified of an independently reported Chemist Warehouse revenue figure attributable to Israeli retail stores, Israeli pharmaceutical distribution or Israeli licensing arrangements in the reviewed FY25 and FY26 disclosures.4, 19

The NIS 1.5 billion figure appearing in August 2023 Israeli reporting was an aspirational five-year market-entry forecast, not evidence of realised Israeli revenue.13

Profit flows into Israel

No public evidence identified of dividends, royalties, management fees, licence payments or other profits remitted by Chemist Warehouse or Sigma to an Israeli parent company, Israeli operating subsidiary or Israeli government entity.3, 4, 19

Profit flows from Israel

No public evidence identified of profits earned by a confirmed Israeli Chemist Warehouse operation and subsequently repatriated to the Australian group.4, 13, 19

Potential future economic contribution

The August 2022 and August 2023 market-entry discussions contemplated retail activity that, if implemented, would have involved local commercial operations in Israel; the reviewed evidence does not establish that the proposed activity generated economic contributions.12, 13, 16

Charitable programmes and institutional contributions

Sigma’s September 2026 announcement documented Chemist Warehouse’s continuing support for the Liptember women’s mental-health fundraising campaign in Australia, but did not establish contributions to Israeli state, military or settlement organisations.38

No public evidence identified of a specific Chemist Warehouse corporate donation, matched-giving payment or philanthropic grant to an Israeli military or settlement organisation in the reviewed group disclosures.3, 4, 38

Israeli economic ecosystem role

No public evidence identified of Chemist Warehouse being designated an Israeli pharmaceutical-sector anchor, major Israeli employer, strategic national distributor or critical Israeli infrastructure operator in the reviewed company and Israeli market-entry reporting.12, 13, 18, 19

Regulatory and commercial context

Sigma Healthcare’s published merger chronology records the ACCC’s 7 November 2024 decision not to oppose the Sigma–Chemist Warehouse transaction, subject to court-enforceable undertakings, providing a dated record of the group’s Australian commercial consolidation.39

ABC’s contemporaneous business coverage described the transaction’s implications for pharmaceutical wholesale and retail competition in Australia, rather than identifying a completed Israeli commercial operation.40

Additional ABC reporting in November 2024 confirmed that the proposed merger had received competition approval while shareholder and court implementation steps remained outstanding at that date.41
