Direct Defence Contracting & Procurement

Ministry of Defence and Military Installations

G4S Israel (formerly Hashmira, acquired by G4S plc in 2002) provided security systems - including CCTV, control rooms, access control, perimeter detection, fire and smoke detection systems, and metal detector gates - to the Israeli Ministry of Defence (IMOD) “Hakirya” complex in Tel Aviv ¹²³. G4S Israel also held contracts to install and maintain security systems at Israeli Air Force (IAF) facilities ¹². G4S Israel provided security systems to the Israeli armoured corps base of Nachshonim, described as a base donated by the US Army under the Wye River Memorandum ²³. Israeli Prison Service Contracts

G4S Israel contracted with the Israeli Prison Service (IPS) to provide integrated security systems - including CCTV cameras, control room technologies, access control, surveillance equipment, fire detection systems, and metal detector gates - across multiple detention facilities ¹⁵⁶²³. The contract start date is given as 2005 in Who Profits sources ¹ and July 2007 in the LPHR research report ⁵, a discrepancy noted in the evidence base. Civil Administration Checkpoint Equipment

G4S Israel was contracted by the Israeli Civil Administration (ICA) to supply and maintain nine Rapiscan metal detection gates installed at ICA checkpoints in the occupied West Bank ¹⁶⁷³. The contract ran from 2008 to 2017 and was renewed for a final period through 30 April 2018 ¹⁶³. In July 2012, the Israeli Defence Ministry confirmed in a Freedom of Information Act response that “G4S is one of the companies that provides inspection [services] and scanning equipment to all the Israeli checkpoints along the separation wall [in the West Bank]” ⁷.

West Bank Police Infrastructure

G4S Israel supplied security equipment - including access control systems, CCTV, public announcement systems, metal detection gates, and burglary detection systems - to the Judea and Samaria Police Headquarters (“Machoz Shai”), located in the E-1 area adjacent to the Ma’ale Adumim settlement in the occupied West Bank ¹⁸³. Corporate Response Chronology

On 21 December 2010, G4S provided a letter to the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre confirming it had provided security equipment “with associated maintenance services” to the Israeli police, prison service, and defence ministry, while claiming it did “not control - and was not necessarily aware - where its security equipment was deployed” ³⁷.
