The prior audit identified unrelated entities using the name, including Churchill Group / Churchill Services, a UK facilities-management and catering business financed by H.I.G. The republished investigation reports an Aviva response distinguishing the client-managed holdings from Aviva plc’s own exposure to Israeli government debt.20, 22 The report further attributes to Aviva plc the explanation that Aviva Investors manages funds for clients, that client funds had limited exposure to Israeli government debt, and that the exposure had been significantly reduced since the end of January 2026.20 Aviva’s own climate-related disclosure distinguishes Aviva Group asset owners, including insurance companies, from Aviva Investors’ management of customer, client, and shareholder assets, supporting the distinction between insurance-company assets and client-managed assets.21 Aviva Investors also identifies itself as Aviva plc’s global asset-management business.23
