Who Profits documents Mehadrin operating grape-packing at Beka’ot, crop production at Messua, and packing houses at Tomer and Na’aran in the occupied Jordan Valley, plus - via its 50%-owned subsidiary Miriam Shoham - mango packing and plantation operations in the Ramot settlement on the Golan Heights, with Mehadrin marketing roughly 15% of its group fruit output to the UK through retail partners including Tesco ¹⁶. Labour action and worker suspension (2025–2026). In November 2025, a Tesco worker at the Newcastle, County Down store was suspended after refusing to scan or sell Israeli-origin goods ²⁴²⁵²². The suspension triggered sustained protest activity across Ireland and Britain at Tesco branches, a BDS-organised petition, and solidarity motions by unions in Ireland, the UK, and Norway opposing compulsory handling of Israeli goods ^262724252223. Tesco declined substantive public comment on the individual case, citing a policy against discussing personnel matters ²³. On 16–19 January 2026, Tesco reinstated the worker, reassigning him to a role not requiring handling of Israeli goods, following roughly two months of campaigning ²⁶²⁷²⁵.
