Scope and method. This audit covers Wickes Group plc and its operating company Wickes Building Supplies Limited, with a neutral check of Keter-brand products (Keter Group, Herzliya, Israel) listed by Wickes. Wickes is a UK home-improvement retailer, and the sources reviewed describe no Israeli subsidiary, store, R&D centre or Israeli-domiciled owner 1, 2. No score or conclusion is given; only sourced data.
Supply Chain & Sourcing Relationships
Direct supplier relationships (agricultural). No public evidence identified of Wickes sourcing from Mehadrin, Hadiklaim, Galilee Export or Agrexco successors, or of any fresh-produce category, in the Wickes sourcing and company pages reviewed 3, 2.
Keter-brand products: listing and seller of record. On 3 November 2026 the Wickes Extra Gardens “Keter” category page listed 27 Keter products, comprising sheds, bin stores, a storage box, shelving and gazebos, and named no seller other than Wickes 4. The Garden Storage Boxes category page showed “Keter (19)” in its Brand filter, and the Plastic Sheds page showed 47 Keter sheds in its Brand filter 5, 6. These filter counts come from different category pages and may overlap, so no de-duplicated SKU total is stated 5, 6. The footers of the Wickes pages name Wickes Building Supplies Limited, Vision House, 19 Colonial Way, Watford, company no. 1840419, as the operating company, and the product pages checked name no third-party seller 7, 8, 9, 10. The Wickes Extra category page carries no marketplace wording 4.
Keter-brand products: declared country of origin per SKU. The Keter Store It Out Midi 880L storage box (Wickes product code 286465, manufacturer model 255033) declares “Country of origin: Israel” on two Wickes hostnames 7, 11. The Keter Darwin Grey Apex 6 x 4ft shed (product code 225460, model 247884, 15-year guarantee) declares “Country of origin: Israel” 8. Three Keter Stronghold sheds also declare Israel in their origin field: the Grey 8 x 6ft (code 352116, 10-year guarantee), the Brown 10 x 15ft (code 352120) and the Brown 10 x 11.5ft (code 352119) 10, 12, 13. The Keter Store It Out Max 1200L box (product code 119796, 5-year manufacturer’s warranty) shows no country-of-origin field 9. The other Keter SKUs in the category listings were not individually checked, so their declared origin is unknown to this audit 4, 5, 6. The declared origin names the country only and does not identify a factory or a location within Israel or the occupied territories 10, 12, 13.
Keter-brand products: since when. No public evidence identified of the date Wickes first listed Keter products; the retrievable pages are live snapshots from 3 November 2026 4, 5. Two hotukdeals pages record past Wickes promotions of a Keter Midi box and a Keter Darwin 6x4 shed, but neither shows a posting date and both are marked as no longer available 14, 15. Wickes launched an eBay storefront of more than 4,000 products on 30 May 2022, and the report does not say whether Keter items were included 16.
Direct purchase versus UK distributor. No public evidence identified of how Wickes buys Keter products. The Wickes pages for codes 352120 and 352119 state that delivery is from “our supplier” and name no supplier, which does not show whether that supplier is Keter or a distributor 12, 13. Companies House records show Keter UK Limited (04992337, formerly Curver UK Limited and Contico Europe Limited, SIC 22290 manufacture of other plastic products) and Keter Limited (02186562, formerly Keter (UK) Limited, SIC 46499 wholesale of household goods), both with a London registered office 17, 18. Neither record names Wickes as a customer, and the sources reviewed do not link either company to supply to Wickes 17, 18.
Importer of record, seasonal and indirect sourcing. No public evidence identified of a Wickes importer-of-record entity for Israeli goods, of counter-seasonal procurement from Israeli suppliers, or of white-label arrangements involving Israeli-origin goods 3, 2. The Keter UK site presents Keter products as selling through its own website and describes “production facilities across the UK and Europe,” without naming individual factories 19. Keter’s US site says the company has “plants in North America, Europe, and Israel” and gives no site-by-site list 20.
Product Origin, Labeling & Regulatory Compliance
Settlement-origin products. No public evidence identified that any product listed by Wickes originates in the West Bank, East Jerusalem or the Golan Heights. A combined search on Wickes with settlement-boycott and Who Profits terms returned no Wickes-specific result; this is a search outcome, not proof of absence 21, 22.
Keter West Bank history [pre-2020, ceased per Who Profits]. Who Profits (December 2016) states that Keter operated a factory in the Barkan industrial zone in the West Bank 22. It documents two Keter trucks parked in the yard of a Barkan factory on 21 March 2014, observed on a weekend when the site was inactive 22. It reports that a November 2016 field visit found the production site with no commercial movement, signs or trucks, and concludes from visual evidence that the company had “stopped operating” in the occupied territory 22. The report fixes no year of cessation: 2014 is the last dated sighting of Keter trucks and November 2016 is the first documented observation of no activity, so the cessation falls between those dates 22. In 2014 Keter told several European NGOs that it “does not own any facility or operation in what the UN defines as the occupied territories” 22. A CJPME factsheet (August 2024) says Keter and its fully owned subsidiary Lipski operated factories in the Barkan Industrial Zone until 2014; the primary Who Profits report does not support 2014 as a cessation date, so this audit prefers the primary source and treats the CJPME date as unverified 22, 23. No evidence of Keter settlement production after 2016 was identified in the sources reviewed 22, 23.
Labeling compliance. No public evidence identified of a government advisory, DEFRA or customs finding, or enforcement action against Wickes on country-of-origin labelling for settlement goods. Wickes does declare Israel as country of origin on the Keter product pages cited above 7, 8, 10.
Corporate labeling policy. The Wickes responsible-sourcing page sets supplier standards on labour, health and safety, environment, ethics and quality, requires an ethical audit for own-brand suppliers and notes SEDEX membership, and it does not mention Israel, occupied territories or conflict zones 3. No public evidence identified of a Wickes policy on sourcing or labelling goods from occupied territories 3.
Other retailer context [pre-2020]. In 2012 Corporate Watch reported that B&Q said it was not sourcing from the Barkan site, had received guarantees from Keter and would continue sourcing from Keter; the page does not mention Wickes 21.
Investment, Capital & Financial Exposure
Foreign direct investment, R&D, portfolio. No public evidence identified of Wickes investment in Israel, Israeli R&D or innovation centres, Israeli sovereign bonds or Israel-focused funds in the sources reviewed 2, 1.
Wickes ownership: JPMorgan holding (TR-1 notices, 2026). Wickes Group plc trades on the London Stock Exchange (ticker WIX) following its demerger from Travis Perkins completed on 28 April 2021 1. JPMorgan Asset Management Holdings Inc. filed a series of TR-1 notices in 2026 that moved around the 5% threshold 24. A notice published on 5 March 2026 at 07:27 reported 5.534372% with a previous 5.069491%, and the page summary dates the crossing to 3 March (figures from an AI-generated page summary) 25, 24. A notice published on 9 March 2026 at 07:30 reported 5.488408%, down from 5.534372%, with 12,771,073 voting rights and a crossing dated 5 March 2026 26, 24. This corrects the prior wording: 5 March is the crossing date in that notice, and its publication date is 9 March 26, 24. A notice published on 10 March 2026 at 15:58 reported 5.515078% (5.046965% in shares and 0.468113% through financial instruments), up from 5.488408%, with 12,833,235 voting rights, a crossing date of 6 March and an issuer notification date of 9 March; the registered shareholder is JPMorgan Asset Management (UK) Limited 27, 24. A notice published on 24 March 2026 at 07:00 reported 5.368315% (12,491,626 voting rights), down from 5.515078%, with the page summary giving a crossing of 19 March 28, 24. A notice published on 22 May 2026 records, per its page summary, a fall below the minimum threshold with a crossing on 20 May 2026 29, 24. The most recent JPMorgan notice retrieved was published on 2 July 2026: 5.061502% (4.002725% via shares and 1.058777% via financial instruments), 11,520,231 voting rights, crossing 29 June 2026, notified 1 July 2026, and previous holding below the minimum threshold 30, 31. No later JPMorgan notice appeared on the Wickes notice list retrieved, which shows entries to 20 October 2026 24.
Other notified holders. Equiniti Trust (Jersey) as trustee of the Wickes Employee Benefit Trust reported 3.5943%, down from 4.1618%, on 8 April 2026 (summary fields) 32. Newton Investment Management Limited, through the BNY Mellon UK Income Fund, reported 5.04% with a crossing on 8 September 2026 (summary fields) 33. Total voting rights were 228,492,273 at 31 May 2026 (summary field) 34. No public evidence identified in the sources reviewed of a Wickes holder of 10% or more, or of Israeli beneficial ownership 24, 1.
Keter ownership and financing (supplier, not target). In 2016 BC Partners bought 80% of Keter [pre-2020], and Who Profits lists the 2016 ownership as BC Partners (80%) and Sagol Sami (20%) 35, 22. Bloomberg Law reported on 6 March 2024 that senior lenders to Keter Group BV would take 100% of the company and its subsidiaries after BC Partners and PSP Investments failed to find a buyer at an attractive price 36. Milbank states the recapitalisation was completed on 29 April 2024, transferring 100% of the group to its senior lenders 37. 9fin reported on 17 April 2025 that Keter repaid its EUR 725m 2029 term loan B at par using new funds from local Israeli banks, and that the largest holders of that loan had included CVC, Carlyle and Sculptor 38.
Operational Presence & Market Activity
Physical footprint. The Wickes company page describes over 230 UK stores and does not mention Israel 2. No public evidence identified of Wickes offices, warehouses, retail locations or sales operations in Israel or occupied territories 2, 1.
Employment, tax and market positioning. No public evidence identified of Wickes workforce, tax registration or market characterisation in Israel 2, 1.
Keter presence (supplier). Keter is headquartered in Herzliya, Israel, per Wikipedia, and the Keter UK site includes an Israel country selector without describing operations there 35, 19. Keter’s US site says the company was founded in Israel and has plants in North America, Europe and Israel 20.
Corporate Structure & Foundational Ties
Founding and domicile. The Wickes company page traces the Wickes name to a 1854 lumber business in Michigan, USA, and records the first UK store opening in Whitefield, Manchester in 1972 2. Wickes Group plc is headquartered in Watford, England 1. No public evidence identified that Wickes was founded in Israel or maintains Israeli headquarters 2, 1.
Board and principals. The Wickes leadership page lists Christopher Rogers as Chair (appointed 23 March 2021), David Wood as Chief Executive Officer (23 March 2021), Mark George as Chief Financial Officer (29 July 2022), Octavia Morley as Senior Independent Non-executive Director (1 June 2026) and Sonita Alleyne, Mark Clare and Mike Iddon as independent Non-executive Directors 39.
State linkages and governance. No public evidence identified of state ownership, golden shares, government board appointees, Israeli government contracts or charter features tying Wickes to Israel 1, 24.
Keter (supplier) background. Keter was founded as a workshop in Jaffa in 1948, acquired L.M. Lipski in 1991, acquired Curver (UK) in 2005 [pre-2020], and was the subject of a 2013 United Church of Canada boycott over its Barkan factory [pre-2020] 35. A September 2021 NYSE IPO plan did not proceed, and a 2023 sale offering was not completed 35.
Authoritative databases. A page on the UN Question of Palestine site records the A/HRC/60/19 report on the OHCHR settlement-business database update 40. The company list itself was not opened, so no public evidence identified of Wickes or Keter being listed 40.
Profit Repatriation & Economic Contribution
Revenue attribution and profit flows. No public evidence identified of any Wickes revenue attributed to Israel, or of Israeli-domiciled ownership of Wickes receiving its profits 1, 24. Keter product sales at Wickes are retail purchases of an Israeli-founded brand; the sources reviewed give no purchase values or payment flows 4, 35.
Economic ecosystem role. No public evidence identified of an assessment or government designation of Wickes as a sector anchor in the Israeli economy 1, 2.
Constructive notice (post-19 July 2024 and post-November 2024). The Wickes Keter listings, including Israel-declared origin, were live on 3 November 2026, after both dates 4, 7, 8, 10. No evidence identified of Keter settlement production after 2016 22, 23.
