Enterprise Technology Stack & Vendor Relationships
Israeli-origin software and services
- Check Point, Wiz, SentinelOne, CyberArk, Nice, Verint, Claroty, Palo Alto Networks and comparable Israeli-origin vendors: no public evidence identified of any licensing, subscription or integration relationship with Wickes in the Wickes cookie page, privacy pages, 2025 annual report text or third-party stack profile reviewed. 1, 2, 3, 4
- The only vendors the third-party stack profile names in readable form are Oracle Cloud ERP (listed as purchased 2026, live 2027), Avature CRM (2017) and OneView Commerce POS (pilot 2016, live 2017). The profile says most entries are paywalled, that some narrative is the publisher’s inference, and that the data is unverified, so these are leads only. 2
- Entries in that profile dated 2005, 2010, 2013 and 2015 are
[pre-2020]and their vendors are hidden. Whether those relationships continue is unknown. 2
Scale of dependency and named platforms
- The 2025 annual report states that Wickes uses upgraded Zebra handheld devices in stores, and that it will begin transforming its till systems into a unified commerce platform in 2026. It also says an order management system will be implemented in two phases, launching in 2026 and 2027. It does not name the vendors of the till or order management systems. 5
- The annual report treats cyber and data security as a principal risk (page 64) and says the Board increased its oversight. It describes third-party cyber maturity assessments but names no security vendor. 5
- The report also says key IT capabilities have been in-sourced, with governance over IT services delivered by third-party suppliers. 5
- Blue Yonder Luminate Planning, a cloud-based portfolio built on Microsoft Azure, was announced for Wickes demand forecasting on 8 April 2021. It is a
[2021]item and its current status is unknown. 6 - Wincanton runs warehouse and transport operations for Wickes kitchens and bathrooms under a four-year agreement announced 16 February 2023. It is described as handling 100% of kitchen and bathroom deliveries, and the 2025 annual report still lists Wincanton as a national delivery partner, so the relationship is current at FY2025. 7, 5
Procurement and integrator relationships
- Team ITG and Emerald Thinking were re-appointed on 26 January 2021 to build a “Missions and Motivations Engine” on Team ITG’s CanopyCloud suite, drawing on first-, second- and third-party data. The 2025 annual report describes a proprietary “Missions Motivation Engine” machine-learning model. Neither source says they are the same system. 8, 5
- RangeMe, a retailer-supplier sourcing platform, was adopted for Wickes buyers on 29 June 2022. Its current status is unknown. 9
- The privacy policy states that Wickes uses IT service providers located in India, for example. No integrator is named, and no source reviewed shows any integrator mandating or deploying Israeli-origin technology for Wickes, so the answer on that point is: no public evidence identified. 10
- The leadership page names Mohamed El Fanichi as Chief Information and Technology Officer, who joined in September 2021. The page does not link him to any Israeli vendor. 11
Surveillance, Biometrics & Retail Technology
- Facial recognition, biometric identification, gait analysis and behavioural analytics, including Trigo, BriefCam, Oosto/AnyVision and Trax: no public evidence identified of use by Wickes. The Wickes privacy page states CCTV in stores and car parks, number-plate recording to manage parking, and call recording. It does not mention biometrics or facial recognition. 10
- The Wickes Group plc privacy policy (last updated March 2021 per its footer) does not mention CCTV, ANPR or facial recognition. 12
- Predictive and monitoring tools: the annual report describes a proprietary machine-learning marketing model and a Peakon engagement platform for employee surveys. It does not describe Israeli-origin predictive policing, sentiment-analysis or workforce-surveillance tools, so for those categories: no public evidence identified. 5
- Third-party deployment: the privacy policy names InMoment (surveys), PowerReviews (reviews), SaleCycle (basket-abandonment email), The Trade Desk Limited (joint controller for identity-based ad targeting) and Google reCAPTCHA. The cookie page names Google, DoubleClick and Epsilon as advertising partners. No opened source states that any of these is Israeli-origin or routes Israeli-origin technology to Wickes. 10, 13
- On 2 March 2026 Wickes launched a retail media network with Epsilon, powered by Epsilon’s COREid identity graph. The audience spans Wickes digital platforms and its store network. The source does not specify what data is collected. 14
Cloud Infrastructure, Data Residency & Sovereign Cloud Participation
- Data centres in Israel: no public evidence identified. Wickes’ consolidated subsidiaries are all incorporated in England and Wales with a Watford registered office, and none is registered in Israel. 5
- Data residency: the privacy policy says some IT providers may sit outside the UK and names India as an example, with safeguards where appropriate. It names no data centres or hosting countries. 10
- The shorter Wickes Group plc policy says transfers outside the UK use the approved Standard Contractual Clauses and names no country. 12
- The only cloud platform named in an opened source is Microsoft Azure, as the base of the Blue Yonder Luminate Planning deployment (2021). 6
- Data exposure to Israeli jurisdiction: no opened source places Wickes data storage, routing, processing or R&D in Israel or under Israeli-controlled infrastructure. Wickes’ core function is retail, not data aggregation. The data pipeline’s hosting locations are not publicly specified, which leaves the question open rather than answered. 10, 5
- Government cloud contracts (Project Nimbus or comparable) and sovereign-resilience services for Israeli state bodies: no public evidence identified. 5
Defence, Intelligence & Security Sector Technology Relationships
- Contracts or partnerships with the Israeli Ministry of Defence, IDF, intelligence agencies or other state security bodies: no public evidence identified in the 2025 annual report text, the results release or the responsible-sourcing page, none of which mentions Israel or a defence customer. 5, 15, 16
- Dual-use provision: the annual report records Wickes as a home-improvement retailer. No opened source documents Wickes technology deployed for military, intelligence or law-enforcement surveillance in Israel or occupied territories, so: no public evidence identified. 5, 15
- Offensive cyber and weapons technology: no public evidence identified of any development, sale, licensing or maintenance by Wickes. 5
AI, Algorithmic & Autonomous Systems
- AI/ML provision to Israeli state, military or security bodies: no public evidence identified. The AI described in the annual report is internal: a proprietary marketing machine-learning model, an AI Council, and a data and information security committee. 5
- Training data from civilian populations, intercepted communications or surveillance datasets originating in Israel or occupied territories: no public evidence identified. 5
- Autonomous target generation, automated threat detection or tracking for Israeli forces: no public evidence identified. Under the domain boundary, any such purpose-built targeting product would belong in Military, and none was found. 5
Technology Ecosystem & R&D Footprint
- Israeli R&D centres, innovation labs or accelerators operated by Wickes: no public evidence identified. The annual report’s subsidiary table lists Wickes Group Holdings Limited, Wickes Building Supplies Limited, Gas Fast Limited (solar installations, 51%), Wickes Finance Limited and Wickes Holdings Limited, all incorporated in England and Wales. 5
- Acquisitions of Israeli technology firms or investments in Israeli startups or venture funds: no public evidence identified. The leadership page records the 51%-owned solar subsidiary (named Wickes Solar or Solar Fast), which is a UK solar installer. 11, 5
- Patents and licensing or co-development with Israeli entities or institutions such as the Technion, Hebrew University or the Weizmann Institute: no public evidence identified. 5
- Corporate history: Wickes was owned by Travis Perkins from 2005 until the demerger completed on 28 April 2021. It is now an independent FTSE 250 company, and the annual report publication notice is dated 17 March 2026. 17, 18
Civil Society Scrutiny & Regulatory History
NGO, UN and academic material
- The OHCHR database of business enterprises involved in settlement-related activities was updated on 26 September 2025. It lists 158 enterprises from 11 countries including the UK, and the summary names no UK company. The full list was not read, so Wickes’ absence from the database is not established. 19, 20
- A/HRC/59/23 (Albanese, “From economy of occupation to economy of genocide”) is catalogued on ecoi.net as published 2 July 2025 and by another host as 30 June 2025. The report text was not read. No source reviewed ties Wickes to it. 21, 22
- Who Profits company list: the first page read (20 of 24 pages, A to Agrotop) shows no Wickes entry. The remaining pages were not read, so the check is incomplete. 23
- No AFSC, Amnesty, Human Rights Watch, Citizen Lab, Al-Haq, SOMO or Don’t Buy Into Occupation material naming Wickes was identified: no public evidence identified. 23, 19
Boycott, divestment and regulatory
- Boycott or divestment campaigns about Wickes technology provision to Israel: no public evidence identified. 23
- Regulatory inquiries, legal actions, export-control actions or sanctions investigations involving Wickes technology and Israeli state entities: no public evidence identified. 5
Controlling principals and shareholders (Principle 4)
- Christopher Rogers (Chair since 23 March 2021; Senior Independent Director of Kerry Group plc; Chair of Mitie Group plc): searched in a combined board-name query for Israel-related cyber, technology or defence roles, none found. 11
- David Wood (CEO since May 2019; non-executive Chair of Green Sheep Group Ltd): searched, none found. 11
- Mark George (CFO since 29 July 2022; chairs the 51%-owned solar subsidiary): searched, none found. 11
- Mark Clare (independent non-executive director since 23 March 2021; Senior Independent Director of Drax Group plc; Chair of Hilton Food Group plc): searched in the combined query, none found. 11
- Mike Iddon (independent non-executive director since 23 March 2021): searched in the combined query, none found. 11
- Sonita Alleyne (independent non-executive director since 23 March 2021) and Octavia Morley (Senior Independent Non-executive Director from 1 June 2026): Alleyne was not searched individually; Morley was searched in the combined query, none found. 11
- JPMorgan Asset Management Holdings Inc. is the only 5%+ holder located: 5.488408% of voting rights as of a notice dated 5 March 2026, down from 5.534372%. A search for Israel-related technology scrutiny naming it found none. 24
- Travis Perkins plc was the parent until the demerger on 28 April 2021. It was not searched on Israel-technology topics in this run, so no finding is made for it. 17, 18
- No holder of 10% or more, no golden-share or veto holder, and no founder-controller was identified in the sources read. 24, 5
Group entities
- Wickes Group Holdings Limited, Wickes Building Supplies Limited, Gas Fast Limited, Wickes Finance Limited and Wickes Holdings Limited: each was identified from the annual report subsidiary table. No entity-by-entity search was run and no Israel link was found in the table. 5
Act record
- Acting entity Wickes Building Supplies Limited is the customer named in the third-party tech-stack profile. Recipients are listed vendors (Oracle, Avature, OneView Commerce), observed on the profile page from 2016/2017 and 2026. The profile is unverified and does not confirm current status. 2
- Wincanton agreement: the Wickes contracting entity is not named in the source (“Wickes”). The recipient is Wincanton, announced 16 February 2023 with a four-year term. The 2025 annual report still lists Wincanton as a delivery partner, so it is continuing as of FY2025, with no end date established. 7, 5
- Epsilon retail media network: the Wickes contracting entity is not named in the source. The recipient is Epsilon, announced 2 March 2026 through the trade-press channel, with the cookie page listing Epsilon as an advertising partner at the research date, so it is continuing. 14, 13
- Blue Yonder Luminate Planning: the acting entity is not named. The announcement dates from 8 April 2021 and later status is unknown. 6
- Team ITG and Emerald Thinking appointment: announced 26 January 2021 through the Business in the News channel. The later status is unknown. 8
- RangeMe adoption: published 29 June 2022 through DIY Week, and the status is unknown. 9
- Constructive notice and settlement nexus: none of the acts above involves an Israeli state, military or settlement recipient, so no continuation after 19 July 2024 or November 2024 can be documented, and no settlement-related digital product or franchisee channel was identified. 5, 19
