UN and multilateral database checks. The OHCHR maintains a database of business enterprises engaged in specified activities related to Israeli settlements in the OPT, established pursuant to Human Rights Council resolutions 31/36 and 53/25 and most recently updated via report A/HRC/60/19 ^{21, 22}. Corporate Occupation’s 2020 update to “Apartheid in the Fields” documents ASDA stocking Yarden wine bottled in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights (dating to 2009), Mehadrin-branded Medjoul dates sold under ASDA’s “Extra Special” own-brand label and sourced from Jordan Valley settlements, and Galilee-brand red grapefruit ^{28, 29}. Corporate Occupation’s investigation identifies UK-based importer IPL as sourcing produce specifically for ASDA, alongside Watts Farms as a fresh-goods importer to UK retailers generally ^{28, 29}. IPL was formed in 2004 as International Produce Ltd and publicly renamed International Procurement and Logistics Ltd in February 2013 to reflect its expansion beyond fresh produce, by which point it was described as the UK’s largest produce importer ³¹. IPL’s own website describes the company as one of the UK’s largest produce importers sourcing globally and contains no reference to Israel or Israeli suppliers on its public-facing pages ³².

Supplier-level findings (Mehadrin). Mehadrin, Israel’s largest citrus, avocado, and date exporter and owner of the “Jaffa” brand, is independently documented by Who Profits, CorpWatch, and Corporate Occupation as operating packing and storage facilities in Jordan Valley settlements (Beka’ot, Messua, Tomer, Na’aran, Netiv Hagdud) and a Golan Heights mango packing house via its Miriam Shoham subsidiary, and as having mislabelled settlement-origin produce as “Produce of Israel” for export, documented in 2013 and referenced again in later reporting ^{33, 34, 35, 36}. These findings concern Mehadrin as a supplier rather than verified direct ASDA conduct beyond ASDA’s confirmed retail stocking of Mehadrin-sourced products. The Who Profits entry for Mehadrin names Tesco, COSTCO, Fruttilal, Albert Heijn, and Amt Ltd as distribution partners and does not name ASDA as a customer ³³.

Boycott and consumer campaign activity. Consumer boycott and picketing campaigns targeting ASDA over Israeli and settlement-origin goods have recurred since at least 2009, including a resurgence in November 2024 when pro-Palestinian activists removed Israeli products from ASDA shelves and called for a boycott ^{37, 38}.
