Corporate Communications & Public Stance

In October 2023, Porsche AG was among more than 100 German companies that co-signed a full-page declaration headed “Never again is now” (“Nie wieder ist jetzt”), published on 22 October 2023, condemning Hamas’s 7 October attack on Israel, opposing antisemitism, and invoking Germany’s “historical responsibility.”¹ Co-signatories included Volkswagen, BMW, SAP, Siemens, Lufthansa, Allianz, and Deutsche Bank.¹

On 22 November 2023, Porsche AG announced a €1,000,000 donation to Aktion Deutschland Hilft for urgent humanitarian aid in the Middle East, including food, water, medical care, psychological support, evacuation, and civilian protection.² CEO Oliver Blume described the donation as sympathy for all people suffering because of the conflict, while board member Andreas Haffner linked it to openness and respect; Porsche framed the donation as humanitarian rather than partisan.²

Porsche’s disclosed minority interests as of 31 December 2025 include Anagog Ltd. (Tel Aviv, 4.74%), Griiip Automotive Engineering Ltd. (Petach Tikva, 4.89%), Tactile Mobility Ltd. (Haifa, 9.22%), TriEye Ltd. (Tel Aviv, 3.41%), Grove Ventures II L.P. (2.50%), Grove Ventures III L.P. (1.63%), and Valence Security Inc. Porsche established a Tel Aviv innovation office in 2017, announced eight-figure investments in Magma and Grove funds, and stated that further investments were planned.¹⁰ Porsche Digital described the Tel Aviv office as having opened in 2018 to assess Israeli start-ups relevant to Porsche.¹¹ In 2022, Porsche announced expanded Tel Aviv activity with Porsche Ventures, stating that Porsche Digital had been active in Israel since 2018 and that Porsche Ventures had directly invested in six Israeli start-ups at that point.⁷ Porsche’s 2024 venture-capital publication stated that Porsche Ventures was involved in Israel-focused Magma and Grove funds.¹²

Parent-entity context - Volkswagen Group, not Porsche AG: Who Profits reports that Volkswagen Group subsidiary MAN Truck & Bus supplied chassis for Israeli police/security-force water-cannon vehicles and buses to Egged, which it says operates settlement routes, and that MAN’s Israeli importer submitted bids in a June 2024 tender for further water-cannon vehicles.^{13, 14} This is a civil-society-source allegation concerning MAN/Volkswagen Group; the reviewed evidence does not include the underlying tender record and does not link Porsche AG, Porsche Digital Israel, Porsche Ventures, or Orchid to that activity.^{13, 14}

Internal Governance, Content & Retail Policies

No public evidence identified in the reviewed materials of a Porsche AG internal policy specifically addressing Israel/Palestine, adopting the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism as a corporate instrument, or imposing Israel- or Gaza-specific content, retail, or product-labelling restrictions.^{15, 3}

Brand Heritage & State Partnerships

Historical heritage context - not modern corporate acts

Ferdinand Porsche (1875–1951), founder of the Porsche engineering office established in 1931, held the Nazi Party’s Golden Badge of Honour and has been described as “Hitler’s favourite engineer.”¹⁷ His company employed at least 300–400 forced labourers during World War II, including under a system that marked workers with a “P” badge; French occupation authorities detained him for 22 months after the war, but he was not convicted as a war criminal.¹⁷ In December 2022, Linz moved to rename a street honouring him after an expert commission found that he had played a central role in the Nazi war economy and promoted forced labour by prisoners of war and concentration-camp inmates.¹⁸

Adolf Rosenberger (1900–1967), a Jewish racing driver, was one of the three co-founders of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche GmbH in 1931.¹⁶ He was forced from the management board in 1933, divested of his stake in 1935, briefly imprisoned in Kislau concentration camp, emigrated in 1938, and received only meagre results through a 1950 restitution procedure.¹⁶

Porsche AG joined the German Industry Foundation Initiative in 1999 and contributed to the forced-labour reparations fund.¹⁹ On 19 March 2026, Porsche AG presented an independently commissioned Rosenberger biography by Professor Joachim Scholtyseck at a symposium at Emory University; Achim Stejskal described Porsche as strongly opposed to exclusion, discrimination, and antisemitism, and Oliver Blume called the study a contribution to remembrance culture.^{16, 20}

Corporate Structure & Primary Mission

Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG is the Stuttgart-registered parent of the Porsche AG Group and reports automotive and financial-services segments.²⁴ Its automotive segment covers vehicle procurement, production, development, sales, services, and design, while its financial-services segment provides finance and mobility services for customers and dealers.²⁴
