Request ID: 49966bf1-d959-4028-98c1-03f790d440d5
Research date: 7 October 2026
Target scope: ASICS Corporation and controlled entities. ASICS identifies Yasuhito Hirota as Chairman/CEO, Mitsuyuki Tominaga as President/COO, and Hirofumi Ohshima as CIO/CDO responsible for IT, ASICS Technology, ASICS Digital, R-bies and ASICS Apps.1, 2 ASICS announced in June 2026 that the Onitsuka Tiger business is scheduled to transfer on 1 January 2027 to OT GROUP Corporation, a company wholly owned by ASICS Corporation, so that reorganization remains within the controlled group.3
Israel entity resolution: ASICS’s current locations page lists Middle East subsidiaries in the UAE and Saudi Arabia and does not list an Israeli ASICS subsidiary.4 ASICS’s Israel privacy notice names ASICS Japan Corporation as the database owner for Israeli users and separately identifies Global-e for some online-purchase services.5 Original’s states that it is the official ASICS importer in Israel, while I.A. IL Ltd’s current customer-club terms state that I.A. IL distributes ASICS products in Israel.6, 7 These sources establish a current third-party distribution/retail channel; they do not establish that Original’s or I.A. IL is controlled by ASICS.4, 6, 7
Enterprise Technology Stack & Vendor Relationships
Israeli-origin software and services
AppsFlyer - current ASICS Runkeeper module. ASICS Runkeeper’s current third-party-module disclosure names AppsFlyer Ltd. and says it receives device, language, operating-system, network and app-installation timestamp information for advertising-effectiveness measurement and product improvement.8 AppsFlyer’s legal material identifies AppsFlyer Ltd. as incorporated under Israeli law in Herzliya.9 This verifies an Israeli-origin mobile-attribution component in an ASICS-controlled digital product, with the disclosed ASICS feed limited to the enumerated app/device metadata.8, 9
AppsFlyer’s current subprocessor page lists AWS and Google Cloud among EU data-hosting providers and lists AppsFlyer Ltd. in Israel among affiliates that can provide support and maintenance, with affiliate location varying.10 no public evidence identified of the ASICS-specific AppsFlyer contracting entity, support affiliate or tenant processing region; the general vendor architecture does not establish that Runkeeper data is processed in Israel.8, 10
Forter - current ecommerce fraud decisioning. ASICS Japan’s current privacy terms state that the ASICS online store and Onitsuka Tiger official online store use Forter to detect credit-card fraud, terms violations and promotion/coupon abuse; ASICS says necessary personal data is provided to Forter and may be handled in connection with improving Forter’s machine-learning models.11 Forter’s ASICS customer case describes Trust Conversions integrated with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and says the described deployment automated 100% of online transactions, while a separate Forter ASICS profile dates implementation to early 2021.12, 13 Forter lists a Tel Aviv office and describes its platform as automated identity/fraud decisioning for digital commerce.14
Dynamic Yield - current global commerce personalization stack. 64Labs states that it was engaged to lead ASICS’s composable-commerce replatform across more than 20 locales and lists Dynamic Yield in the deployed technology stack alongside Salesforce Composable Storefront, Adyen, Bazaarvoice and Contentstack.15 Mastercard’s accessible 17 November 2022 first-party article states that Dynamic Yield was founded in Tel Aviv in 2012 and uses tools including AI and A/B testing for personalization; Mastercard separately confirmed completing the acquisition in April 2022.16, 17 The ASICS material establishes deployment in the commerce stack but does not disclose the ASICS tenant’s data-residency setting or complete attribute set supplied to Dynamic Yield.15, 16
Global-e - current Israeli ecommerce/data-chain provider. ASICS’s Israel notice says Global-e manages some online-purchase logistics, including customer support, shipping and returns, and acts as an independent database owner for certain personal data.5 Global-E Online Ltd.’s 2026 Form 20-F states that it was incorporated in Israel, is headquartered in Petah Tikva and conducts most of its R&D in Israel.18 This verifies an Israel-incorporated digital-commerce/data-chain relationship; the cited ASICS role is ecommerce/logistics rather than enterprise security software.5, 18
Scale of dependency
Forter is embedded in transaction decisioning in the ASICS deployments described by ASICS and Forter, while Dynamic Yield appears in the stack for a replatform spanning more than 20 locales.11, 12, 15 AppsFlyer’s verified ASICS role is narrower, within Runkeeper attribution/product-improvement measurement, and Global-e’s verified role concerns cross-border ecommerce/logistics and associated purchase data.5, 8 These sources do not establish either vendor as ASICS’s core corporate network-security platform.5, 8, 11, 15
Procurement and integrator relationships
64Labs says it led ASICS’s composable-commerce replatform and identifies Dynamic Yield as part of the stack; Forter separately identifies Salesforce Commerce Cloud integration for its ASICS deployment.12, 15 no public evidence identified that 64Labs or another ASICS integrator contractually mandated AppsFlyer, Forter, Dynamic Yield or another Israeli-origin product rather than implementing technology selected through ASICS procurement.12, 15
Focused searches for ASICS relationships with Check Point, Wiz, SentinelOne, CyberArk, NICE, Verint, Claroty and Palo Alto Networks produced no target-specific primary or vendor-customer evidence. No public evidence identified of a verified ASICS deployment of those named products.1, 15
Surveillance, Biometrics & Retail Technology
Facial recognition and biometrics
[pre-2020] Aura Vision, 2019. ASICS Ventures announced an equity stake in UK in-store analytics company Aura Vision in June 2019; ASICS said the system used existing security cameras to detect and track store traffic and segment footfall by demographic characteristics while operating without facial recognition.19 Aura Vision remains listed on ASICS Ventures’ current portfolio page, establishing a current portfolio association even though the originating investment evidence is from 2019.20
[pre-2020] ASICS proprietary gait/pronation analysis, 2019. ASICS announced an AI-vision feature for its Running Analyzer that recorded a runner from the knee down, uploaded the video to the cloud and analyzed knee, ankle and heel positions to classify pronation at ASICS-owned stores.21 The 2019 source does not establish current 2026 deployment and does not identify an Israeli-origin supplier.21
Focused searches for Trigo, BriefCam, AnyVision/Oosto, Trax and comparable Israeli-origin facial-recognition, store-analytics or gait-analysis deployments at ASICS produced no public evidence identified.19, 21
Predictive analytics and monitoring
Dynamic Yield is a verified Israeli-origin AI personalization component in ASICS’s current commerce stack, and Forter is a verified automated fraud/identity-decision platform used in ASICS ecommerce.11, 14, 15, 16 The cited deployments concern commercial personalization and fraud control. No public evidence identified of Israeli-origin predictive-policing, sentiment-monitoring or workforce-surveillance tools used by ASICS.11, 15
Third-party deployment
The verified Israeli-origin technologies reach ASICS through commercial platform integrations: AppsFlyer as a Runkeeper module, Forter through ecommerce/Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and Dynamic Yield within the composable-commerce stack.8, 12, 15 no public evidence identified that Israeli facial-recognition or policing-surveillance products reach ASICS indirectly through a managed security service or bundled enterprise suite.8, 12, 15
Cloud Infrastructure, Data Residency & Sovereign Cloud Participation
ASICS-controlled data centres in Israel
ASICS’s current locations page does not list an Israeli subsidiary, data centre or R&D site; the listed Middle East subsidiaries are in Dubai and Riyadh.4 no public evidence identified that ASICS operates, leases or colocates an ASICS-controlled data centre in Israel.4
Israel-related data flows and legal exposure
For Israeli users, ASICS Japan Corporation states that it is the database owner under Israel’s Protection of Privacy Law and that personal data may be transferred, stored and processed outside Israel because of ASICS’s global operations.5 That disclosure establishes an Israeli-user data relationship under the cited privacy notice; it does not establish Israeli-state access to ASICS data.5
ASICS Japan’s current notice lists the United States, Canada, Israel, the United Kingdom and Singapore as countries in which personal information for its fraud-detection service may be stored.11 ASICS does not say which customer records are stored in which listed country or identify the exact Forter region used for each transaction.11 Forter’s July 2024 announcement confirms that an EU data centre exists in Ireland, but that vendor-wide fact does not establish ASICS’s tenant routing.22
Global-e’s May 2026 consumer privacy policy states that Global-e service data servers are in the EEA and that service data is stored and processed in Ireland; it also says information may be transferred to Israel, the UK, EU and US as part of cross-border operations.23 Coupled with ASICS’s identification of Global-e for some online-purchase services, this establishes that the vendor framework permits an Israel transfer touchpoint but does not prove that every ASICS order is routed through Israel.5, 23
Runkeeper’s 4 September 2025 consumer-health statement says the service may collect heart rate, VO2 Max, injuries, activity metrics, photographs that may constitute biometric data in some contexts, inferred health indicators, precise geolocation and running-route information.24 ASICS’s separate AppsFlyer module disclosure identifies only device, language, operating system, network and installation timestamp information as the disclosed AppsFlyer feed.8 no public evidence identified that ASICS sends Runkeeper heart-rate, health, biometric-photo or precise-route data to AppsFlyer.8, 24
Dynamic Yield’s ASICS deployment is verified, but the 64Labs and Mastercard materials do not disclose ASICS-specific Dynamic Yield data residency.15, 16 Corporate origin or an Israeli office alone is therefore not evidence of Israeli-state access to ASICS data.15, 16
Government cloud, sovereignty and resilience
A/HRC/59/23 discusses Project Nimbus and identifies Google/Alphabet and Amazon in the cloud programme; direct text checks found no ASICS match.25 no public evidence identified of ASICS participation in Project Nimbus or another Israeli government sovereign-cloud programme, or of ASICS providing data-sovereignty or infrastructure-resilience services to Israeli state or military bodies.25
Settlement nexus
The 2025 OHCHR settlement-business database update was searched directly for ASICS and the identified Israeli-origin digital vendors; no matches were found.26 The report itself limits the database to specified settlement-related activities and says its 2025 update covered only part of the enterprises under review, so non-appearance is not a comprehensive clearance.26 no public evidence identified of an ASICS-controlled digital service, data centre or technology contract specifically serving settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory.26
Defence, Intelligence & Security Sector Technology Relationships
Military and intelligence contracts
Focused searches covering ASICS with the IDF/Israel Defense Forces, Israeli Ministry of Defense/IMOD, intelligence, Unit 8200, tenders, contracts and Project Nimbus produced no public evidence identified of an ASICS technology contract, service agreement or digital platform supplied to an Israeli military, intelligence or state-security body.26, 25
The verified Israel-linked relationships in this audit place ASICS as a customer or merchant using commercial technology/services: AppsFlyer for Runkeeper attribution, Forter for ecommerce fraud decisioning, Dynamic Yield for personalization, and Global-e for ecommerce/logistics.5, 8, 11, 15 No cited source describes ASICS supplying those vendors’ technology onward to an Israeli security body.5, 8, 11, 15
Dual-use technology provision
No public evidence identified that commercially available ASICS digital technology has been deployed by Israeli military, intelligence or law-enforcement bodies for surveillance in Israel or the occupied territories.26, 25 The ASICS digital products documented here concern running, ecommerce, retail analysis and consumer services.24, 21, 27
Offensive cyber and digital weapons
No public evidence identified that ASICS develops, sells, licenses or maintains offensive-cyber tools, zero-day exploit capabilities or digital weapons, or that Israeli state actors deploy an ASICS-produced offensive capability.26, 25
AI, Algorithmic & Autonomous Systems
Civilian AI/ML systems used by ASICS
ASICS Japan says its Forter fraud-detection service uses a machine-learning decision platform and that supplied personal data may be handled for model improvement.11 Dynamic Yield is a Tel Aviv-founded AI personalization platform listed in ASICS’s current commerce stack.15, 16 In April 2025 ASICS also announced Run Concierge, a civilian runner-information service developed with Boston-based Neurun and using Google Maps Platform and Google Cloud technologies.27 64Labs separately says it implemented an AI-powered translation engine in the ASICS commerce replatform.15
AI/ML provision to Israeli state bodies
The cited AI systems concern ASICS’s consumer, ecommerce and running operations.11, 15, 27 no public evidence identified that ASICS provides AI, machine learning, computer vision or autonomous decision-support systems to Israeli state, military or security bodies.26, 25
Training data and model development
ASICS Japan expressly says personal data provided for Forter fraud detection may be handled in connection with improving Forter’s machine-learning models.11 The source does not identify that data as surveillance-derived, does not identify an Israeli state dataset and does not state that model-improvement processing for a particular ASICS record occurs in Israel.11 no public evidence identified that ASICS AI models or platforms are trained on intercepted communications, occupied-territory surveillance datasets or civilian-population datasets supplied by Israeli security bodies.26, 25
Autonomous systems and lethality
No public evidence identified that ASICS provides autonomous target generation, fire-control AI, kill-chain automation or autonomous tracking systems to Israeli military/security forces.26, 25 No purpose-built targeting product attributable to ASICS was identified in the reviewed sources.26, 25
Technology Ecosystem & R&D Footprint
Israeli R&D centres
ASICS’s current locations and company-profile pages identify the ASICS Institute of Sport Science in Japan and do not list an ASICS R&D facility or subsidiary in Israel.4, 2 no public evidence identified of an ASICS-operated Israeli engineering office, innovation lab, R&D centre or accelerator.4, 2
Acquisitions and investments
On 14 May 2020 ASICS Ventures announced an investment in Seevix Material Sciences Ltd., an Israeli startup founded following Hebrew University research and headquartered in Jerusalem; ASICS said Seevix and the ASICS Institute of Sport Science would jointly develop sporting goods using Seevix’s patented SVX synthetic-spider-silk material.28 This is a verified 2020 Israeli technology/startup investment and joint R&D relationship in advanced biomaterials.28
ASICS Ventures’ current portfolio page lists Aura Vision and other investments but does not list Seevix.20 That omission does not establish a sale or exit, so the present ASICS equity position in Seevix is not publicly confirmed by the reviewed current material.28, 20 no public evidence identified of an ASICS acquisition of an Israeli cyber, surveillance, cloud or military-AI company.20
Patent and intellectual-property relationships
The 2020 ASICS announcement describes Seevix’s SVX material as patented and confirms joint product development with ASICS Institute of Sport Science, but it does not disclose a patent assignment, co-owned patent or IP-licensing terms between ASICS and Seevix or Hebrew University.28 no public evidence identified of a separate ASICS patent-licensing or co-development agreement with Technion, Hebrew University or Weizmann Institute beyond the Seevix relationship just described.28
Controlling principals
Current ASICS materials identify Hirota, Tominaga and Ohshima as the relevant top corporate/digital principals.1, 2 Focused searches found no public evidence identified of personal equity stakes, board roles or family-office investments by those principals in the named Israeli surveillance, cyber, AI or military-technology companies searched.1, 2
Civil Society Scrutiny & Regulatory History
UN, NGO and academic scrutiny
The 26 September 2025 OHCHR settlement-business database update, A/HRC/60/19, was searched directly and contained no text match for ASICS, AppsFlyer, Forter, Global-e, Seevix or Dynamic Yield.26 The report states that its mandate covers specified settlement-related activities and that its 2025 update addressed only part of the enterprises under review, so this non-appearance is a limited finding.26
A/HRC/59/23, dated 2 July 2025, discusses technology, surveillance, AI and Project Nimbus; direct text searches likewise found no match for ASICS, AppsFlyer, Forter, Global-e, Seevix or Dynamic Yield.25 The report says its underlying investigation mapped roughly 1,000 corporate entities while more than 45 were named in the report, so non-appearance is not treated as a general clearance.25
Focused searches of the requested specialist civil-society sources did not identify a target-specific ASICS technology investigation establishing Israeli state/security or settlement provision. No public evidence identified of such a target-specific report in the reviewed material.26, 25
Boycott and divestment campaigns
The BDS Movement’s current corporate-priority guide contains no ASICS entry.29 no public evidence identified of a BDS Movement corporate-priority campaign specifically against ASICS for technology provision.29 This finding is limited to that organization’s priority guide and does not address every informal consumer boycott list.29
Regulatory and legal actions
No public evidence identified of a regulator inquiry, export-control action, sanctions case or legal challenge concerning ASICS technology sales or digital services to Israeli state/security entities in the reviewed authoritative and target-specific materials.26, 25
Constructive-notice timing
For the audit’s requested timing check, current ASICS disclosures and current vendor/integrator material show AppsFlyer, Forter, Dynamic Yield and Global-e relationships documented after the specified 19 July 2024 and November 2024 notice markers.5, 8, 11, 15 The reviewed evidence does not connect those continuing commercial relationships to Israeli military, Project Nimbus, settlement infrastructure or occupied-territory surveillance.26, 25 The Seevix investment was announced in 2020, while its current ownership status remains unresolved.28, 20
