Target: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS), Taiwan Research date: 6 October 2026 Request ID: 4a3f2478-2ce2-4c20-924b-f7b9e5bf513f

ASUSTeK’s official 2026 Q2 consolidated report provides the current group boundary used for this audit. It consolidates ASUS Cloud Corporation, Taiwan AI Cloud, ASKey, AAEON, ASMedia, Onyx and ASUS Israel (Technology) Ltd.; Jetway appears within the AAEON subgroup and Techpoint within the ASMedia subgroup. The report gives AAEON at 37.46%, ASMedia at 42.92%, Onyx at 53.90%, ASUS Cloud at 96.53%, Taiwan AI Cloud at 74.18% and ASUS Israel at 100%, and records Techpoint at 100% within the ASMedia subgroup.1

The same report records ASUSTeK’s current holding of 448,506,484 Pegatron shares, equal to 16.72%, as a non-controlling equity investment.1 ASUS’s own corporate history describes the earlier separation of its ODM activities into Pegatron and presents the companies as operationally separate.2 The current 16.72% investment is therefore disclosed here without treating Pegatron as a controlled ASUS subsidiary. No public evidence identified of current ASUSTeK control of ASRock; Pegatron or ASRock conduct is not automatically attributed to ASUS in this audit.

Current ASUS leadership identifies Jonney Shih as Chairman, Ted Hsu as Vice Chairman, and S.Y. Hsu and Samson Hu as co-CEOs.2

Enterprise Technology Stack & Vendor Relationships

Israeli-Origin Software & Services

On 1 April 2026 ASUS launched the UGen300 USB AI Accelerator with an integrated Hailo-10H processor, 8 GB of dedicated memory and up to 40 TOPS of AI performance.3 Hailo’s own 2025 Hailo-10H material identifies the company in Tel Aviv and describes the product as an on-device edge-AI accelerator.4 ASUS likewise states that UGen300 inference can run locally without dependence on cloud infrastructure.3, 5

A current controlled ASUS-group company has a broader Hailo relationship. On 16 February 2022 AAEON’s UP brand announced a partnership with Israel-based Hailo under which named UP systems support the Hailo-8 M.2 AI acceleration module.6 On 6 May 2025 AAEON said additional Hailo acceleration modules were planned for the second half of 2025.7 AAEON’s current software-solutions page lists the Hailo AI Software Suite, and Hailo’s current ecosystem lists multiple AAEON UP platforms.8, 9 The relationship is therefore documented both before and after the July and November 2024 notice dates specified for this audit.

AAEON also has a current relationship with Israeli robotics company Cogniteam. Cogniteam’s AAEON partner page states that an AAEON hardware platform using NVIDIA Jetson and ROS runs Cogniteam’s cloud platform from prototyping through production, including robot-fleet control and management.10 AAEON’s own current software page lists Cogniteam’s cloud robotics platform as a way to develop, deploy and manage robots and fleets.8

Cogniteam’s platform is materially different from the local Hailo chip pathway: it is a cloud service offering remote deployment, monitoring, access, over-the-air updates and fleet-management functions.11 Cogniteam’s privacy policy states that, for robots connected to Cogniteam-provided cloud services, it may process user data and robot data generated by sensors, and may use third-party services for hosting, transmission, analysis or management.12 The public sources do not disclose the hosting region for a specific AAEON deployment or establish that all AAEON customers use Cogniteam cloud services.

In October 2023 ZutaCore announced certification of its HyperCool direct-on-chip dielectric cooling technology for ASUS high-performance servers and quoted ASUS on collaboration to bring the solution to global customers.13 The release identifies ZutaCore R&D activity in Israel.13 Continuation of that specific ASUS relationship after 2024 was not established in the sources reviewed.

Focused searches for a verified ASUS licensing, subscription or internal-deployment relationship with Check Point, Wiz, SentinelOne, CyberArk, NICE, Verint, Claroty, Palo Alto Networks and comparable Israeli-origin enterprise-security vendors produced no public evidence identified.

Scale of Dependency

Hailo technology is embedded in the named ASUS UGen300 product and in multiple AAEON UP configurations, but the reviewed sources do not establish Hailo as ASUS’s primary corporate cloud, network-security, identity, endpoint-security or customer-analytics platform.3, 6, 8, 9

The Cogniteam relationship is a deeper software/service dependency for deployments that use it because the documented AAEON solution runs Cogniteam’s cloud platform for robot deployment and fleet control.10, 11 Public material does not disclose how many AAEON systems use the platform, the number or identity of deployed customers, or the share of AAEON’s business dependent on Cogniteam. Those unknowns are not treated as evidence that the relationship is small.

ZutaCore is documented as a certified cooling technology for ASUS high-performance servers in 2023 rather than ASUS’s internal enterprise IT stack.13

Procurement & Integrator Relationships

ASUS currently lists CRG, Eastronics, EIM, Hiper Global, Nisko Technology and Visual as authorized server/solution partners in Israel.14 Eastronics states that it represents ASUS products in Israel and provides application engineers supporting customer projects from product selection through development.15 Intel’s current Eastronics profile describes a network of roughly 800 integrators/resellers and lists government and defense/space among Eastronics’s broader served industries.16

Hiper Global separately identifies ASUS as a platform partner.17 These channel relationships establish local integration and distribution capacity. They do not identify an ASUS product sold to the IDF, Ministry of Defense or an intelligence service.

A 2026 ASUS Israel Enterprise Account Manager listing seeks growth in AI/HPC, edge-computing and storage infrastructure, including public-sector accounts, local system integrators and complex GPU-cluster opportunities.18 This establishes current public-sector business-development capacity; the listing does not identify an awarded procurement, government agency or deployed system.

No public evidence identified that a named Israeli integrator mandated or deployed Israeli-origin security software as part of ASUS’s own corporate IT environment.

Surveillance, Biometrics & Retail Technology

Facial Recognition & Biometrics

No public evidence identified of ASUS procuring or internally deploying facial-recognition or biometric-identification systems from Trigo, BriefCam, AnyVision/Oosto or comparable Israeli vendors.

The Hailo-powered UGen300 has general-purpose computer-vision capability. ASUS’s current product page lists AI surveillance, real-time event detection, traffic analysis, industrial monitoring and anomaly detection among potential edge-AI use cases, with processing described as local at the edge.5 That establishes product capability, not a documented ASUS surveillance deployment or Israeli state end user.

Cogniteam’s AAEON-integrated platform supports robot sensor processing, remote access and fleet monitoring.10, 11, 12 no public evidence identified that the cited AAEON/Cogniteam implementation uses facial recognition or has been deployed for Israeli police, military or population-surveillance purposes.

Predictive Analytics & Monitoring

Cogniteam describes fleet-management functions that use operational data for functions such as monitoring, route planning and predictive maintenance.11 This is robotics/fleet analytics. No public evidence identified of ASUS or the reviewed controlled subsidiaries using an Israeli-origin predictive-policing, sentiment-analysis, social-media-monitoring or workforce-surveillance system.

Third-Party Deployment

The verified group-level indirect pathway is AAEON’s integration with Cogniteam: AAEON hardware/software solutions can run Cogniteam’s vendor-provided cloud robotics service.8, 10, 11 Cogniteam’s privacy policy confirms that cloud-connected robots can cause user and robot sensor data to be processed through its service.12

No public evidence identified that Trigo, BriefCam, AnyVision/Oosto or a comparable Israeli surveillance platform reaches ASUS through a managed-security provider or bundled enterprise suite.

Cloud Infrastructure, Data Residency & Sovereign Cloud Participation

Data Centre Operations in Israel

ASUSTeK’s current consolidated report includes the wholly owned ASUS Israel (Technology) Ltd. operation in the group.1 ASUS also maintains an Israeli server-partner channel and recruits locally for enterprise infrastructure sales.14, 18 no public evidence identified that ASUS, ASUS Cloud or Taiwan AI Cloud itself operates, leases or co-locates a data centre in Israel.

The Cogniteam service used in the AAEON relationship is a vendor cloud pathway, not evidence of an ASUS-owned Israeli data centre.10, 11

Government Cloud Contracts

No public evidence identified of ASUS, ASUS Cloud, Taiwan AI Cloud or the reviewed controlled subsidiaries participating in Project Nimbus or another named Israeli government cloud contract.

The 2026 ASUS Israel sales role explicitly includes public-sector accounts and AI/HPC infrastructure opportunities.18 It establishes sales activity directed at that sector, not a contract award.

Data Sovereignty & Resilience Services

ASUS Cloud and Taiwan AI Cloud do possess sovereign-AI capability outside the Israeli context. ASUS’s August 2025 sovereign-AI material describes Taiwan AI Cloud as a Taiwan-focused public-private initiative and discusses in-country infrastructure, local control and sovereign AI services.19 Taiwan AI Cloud’s current corporate material similarly describes its AI/HPC and cloud role in Taiwan.20

No public evidence identified of those services being contracted to an Israeli state, military or intelligence institution, or of an Israel-specific ASUS sovereign-cloud deployment.

Data-Exposure Pathway

ASUS’s Israel-localized privacy policy describes collection, depending on service, of account and support information, IP/network and device identifiers, location information, communications and other device-derived data. It permits use of service providers and partners and describes cross-border handling of personal information.21 ASUS’s global policy contains the same general model of service-provider processing and cross-border handling.22

The policies identify ASUSTeK Computer Inc. in Taiwan and ASUS affiliates but do not name an Israeli ASUS cloud provider, an Israel-specific data-storage region or a complete processor chain.21, 22 Accordingly, no public evidence identified that ordinary ASUS customer data is routinely stored on Israeli-controlled infrastructure.

The AAEON/Cogniteam pathway is more specific. Cogniteam states that robots connected to Cogniteam cloud services may generate user data and robot sensor data processed through those services and that third-party infrastructure may support hosting, transmission, analysis and management.12 Cogniteam’s platform supports remote access, monitoring, deployment and fleet control.11 Cogniteam’s AAEON page establishes that this cloud platform runs on an AAEON-based robotics solution from prototyping through production.10

The public material does not identify the physical cloud region, prove that data from a specific deployment is stored in Israel, or establish the exact legal controller for an AAEON customer’s data. Cogniteam’s policy recognizes processing on behalf of third parties; it does not state that AAEON is the controller in every deployment.12 Generic provisions allowing disclosure where legally required do not establish that Israeli authorities have accessed any such dataset.

The Hailo pathways are different: ASUS and Hailo describe Hailo-10H inference as local/on-device, so the presence of an Israeli-designed processor does not by itself demonstrate transmission of model inputs or user data to Israel.3, 5, 4

Defence, Intelligence & Security Sector Technology Relationships

Military & Intelligence Contracts

No public evidence identified of a verified ASUS, AAEON, ASUS Cloud, Taiwan AI Cloud, ASKey, ASMedia, Techpoint, Onyx or Jetway contract with the Israeli Ministry of Defense, IDF or an Israeli intelligence agency.

ASUS’s authorized Israeli channel includes Eastronics and Hiper Global.14, 17 Intel documents Eastronics’s broader activity across government and defense/space markets.16 ASUS’s own 2026 Israeli recruitment material targets public-sector infrastructure accounts.18 None of these sources identifies an ASUS end-customer contract with a military or intelligence body.

Product durability references to MIL-STD testing were not treated as evidence of military supply.23

Dual-Use Technology Provision

The ASUS UGen300 is a general-purpose edge-AI accelerator whose published use cases include surveillance, event detection and traffic analysis.3, 5 AAEON’s Hailo integrations likewise provide general edge-AI acceleration, while the AAEON/Cogniteam integration provides cloud robotics deployment, monitoring and fleet control.6, 8, 10, 11

These are dual-use capabilities. No public evidence identified of the cited products or services being deployed by the IDF, Israeli intelligence agencies, police or an occupied-territory surveillance programme.

Offensive Cyber & Weapons Technology

No public evidence identified of ASUS or the reviewed controlled subsidiaries developing, selling, licensing or maintaining offensive-cyber exploit systems, zero-day tooling or digital weapons for Israeli state actors.

AI, Algorithmic & Autonomous Systems

AI/ML Provision to State Bodies

ASUS’s April 2026 UGen300 launch with Hailo is a current general-purpose AI integration.3, 4 AAEON’s Hailo relationship continued through its May 2025 roadmap and current ecosystem/software listings.7, 8, 9 ASUS’s current Israeli enterprise-sales role includes AI/HPC and public-sector accounts.18

These records establish continuing technology activity involving Israeli-origin technology and the Israeli market after 19 July 2024 and November 2024. No public evidence identified that the cited activity involved an Israeli military/security customer, settlement deployment or named state AI programme.

Training Data & Model Development

No public evidence identified that an ASUS or controlled-group AI model was trained on Palestinian or Israeli civilian-population data, intercepted communications or surveillance-derived datasets from Israel or the occupied Palestinian territory.

Cogniteam’s policy documents processing of user and robot sensor data in cloud-connected deployments.12 It does not establish that those data are used to train an ASUS model, that the data originate from Israel or the occupied Palestinian territory, or that they derive from state surveillance.

Autonomous Systems & Lethality

AAEON/Cogniteam technology supports robot deployment and fleet management, and AAEON/Hailo products support edge AI.6, 10, 11 no public evidence identified of ASUS or the reviewed controlled subsidiaries providing autonomous target generation, fire-control AI, lethal decision support or purpose-built kill-chain systems to Israeli military or security forces.

Technology Ecosystem & R&D Footprint

Israeli R&D Centres

ASUSTeK’s current consolidated report includes ASUS Israel (Technology) Ltd. as a wholly owned group company supporting ASUS activity in Israel.1 no public evidence identified in the reviewed sources that ASUS itself operates an Israeli R&D centre, engineering laboratory or accelerator programme.

This is distinct from vendor R&D. ZutaCore’s 2023 ASUS collaboration release identifies ZutaCore R&D activity in Israel,13 while Hailo is a Tel Aviv-based technology supplier.4 Those facilities belong to vendors, not ASUS.

Acquisitions & Investments

No public evidence identified of ASUS acquiring or disclosing an equity investment in Hailo, Cogniteam, ZutaCore, Airovation or another Israeli technology company in the sources reviewed. The identified relationships are product integration, software/cloud partnership, certification or an MOU.3, 6, 10, 13, 24

Focused searches for disclosed personal investments by Jonney Shih, Ted Hsu, S.Y. Hsu or Samson Hu in the named Israeli surveillance, cyber and AI companies produced no public evidence identified.2

Patent & Intellectual Property

In September 2022 ASUS and Israel-based Airovation Technologies announced an MOU to expand air-purification solutions in Taiwan and Greater China; the announcement says the underlying technology was developed through Hebrew University research.24 The disclosed agreement is between ASUS and Airovation. It does not establish a direct ASUS-Hebrew University patent licence or co-development agreement.

No public evidence identified of a direct ASUS patent portfolio, licensing agreement or co-development arrangement with Technion, Hebrew University, Weizmann Institute or another Israeli research institution beyond that indirect Airovation provenance.

Group Attribution

The current consolidated group boundary materially changes the scope compared with an ASUS-only search. ASUSTeK’s Q2 2026 report consolidates ASUS Cloud, Taiwan AI Cloud, ASKey, AAEON, ASMedia, Onyx and ASUS Israel; Jetway falls within the AAEON subgroup and Techpoint within ASMedia.1

AAEON produced the strongest additional group-level Israeli technology nexus. It has a verified Hailo relationship dating to February 2022, continuing through a May 2025 roadmap and current product/software ecosystem listings.6, 7, 8, 9 Its current Cogniteam integration is also substantive because Cogniteam provides the cloud robotics runtime and may process robot/user sensor data for cloud-connected deployments.10, 11, 12

Focused searches for Israeli technology procurement or partnerships involving ASKey, Onyx, ASMedia/Techpoint, Jetway, ASUS Cloud and Taiwan AI Cloud did not identify an additional specific relationship comparable to AAEON’s Hailo or Cogniteam integrations. ASUS Cloud/Taiwan AI Cloud do have documented sovereign-AI capabilities, but the reviewed primary material is Taiwan-focused and does not identify an Israeli project.19, 20

Pegatron requires separate treatment. ASUS’s own history records the operational separation of Pegatron, while the current Q2 report shows that ASUSTeK nevertheless retains a 16.72% non-controlling Pegatron investment.1, 2 The minority stake is disclosed as economic exposure; it is not treated as present operational control. No public evidence identified of current ASUS control of ASRock, so ASRock relationships were not automatically attributed to ASUSTeK.

Civil Society Scrutiny & Regulatory History

NGO, UN & Academic Reports

The official UN-hosted 26 September 2025 update to the OHCHR database of enterprises involved in specified settlement-related activities was checked for ASUS/ASUSTeK and relevant group names in the retrievable document material; no target match was identified.25

The retrievable UN-hosted text of A/HRC/59/23, the 2025 Special Rapporteur report addressing technology, cloud, surveillance and other corporate relationships, was likewise searched for ASUS/ASUSTeK and the named group entities used in this audit; no target match was identified.26

The full 120-page 2025 Don’t Buy Into Occupation V report was opened and searched for ASUS, ASUSTeK, AAEON, ASMedia, Onyx, Jetway, Hailo and Cogniteam. No matching company entry or textual occurrence was identified in that report.27

The direct PDF attachments for the UN reports were inaccessible with HTTP 403 in this browser session, so those blocked PDF URLs are not used as End Notes sources. The substantive retrievable UN-hosted report pages are cited instead. The Don’t Buy Into Occupation PDF was directly retrievable and searched in full.25, 26, 27

Targeted Who Profits and AFSC searches did not surface an ASUS-specific company record relevant to this Digital audit. No public evidence identified in the reviewed authoritative and specialist material of ASUS providing a digital product or service specifically to an Israeli settlement or occupied-territory project.

Boycott & Divestment Campaigns

The BDS Movement’s current technology-target page names companies including Amazon, Google/Alphabet, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, HP, Palantir, IBM, Dell, Meta and Motorola Solutions. Searches within that page found no ASUS or ASUSTeK entry.28 no public evidence identified of an organized BDS technology campaign specifically targeting ASUS on the basis of its technology provision. This bounded finding does not establish that ASUS has never appeared on a local or informal boycott list.

No public evidence identified of a regulatory inquiry, export-control enforcement action, sanctions investigation or legal challenge specifically concerning ASUS or the reviewed controlled subsidiaries’ technology sales or services to an Israeli state, military or security entity.

Settlement Nexus

No public evidence identified of an ASUS-owned facility, ASUS/controlled-group digital service or verified technology contract specifically operating in or serving an Israeli settlement in the occupied Palestinian territory. The current evidence establishes commercial presence, authorized distribution, public-sector sales capacity and several Israeli-origin technology relationships; it does not identify a settlement end customer.1, 14, 18
